Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer or spoon until the mixture is creamy. Add the sifted flour and cherries, and mix everything. If we see that the dough is very dry we add the milk.
Sprinkle some flour on the work table, pour the dough and form a cylinder about five centimeters in diameter. Place the hazelnuts on a baking paper and pass the dough cylinder on them until it is completely coated. We wrap the dough in transparent film and refrigerate for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 180º C, heat up and down. On a plate lined with baking paper, we place portions of dough. Bake for 15 minutes or until cookies is golden brown. Remove the tray from the oven, let the cookies stand on it for five minutes, and pass them on a rack until they cool completely.
With what to accompany the cherry and hazelnut cookies
As I like these cherry and hazelnut cookies, it is with a good glass of cold milk. Anyway, with tea, they are also delicious, so I leave it to your choice. Keep them in perfect condition inside an airtight can.
